Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY
The Global Medical Director - Dermatology will report to the Ritlecitinib Medical Team Lead. The Director is an integral member of the Global Medical Dermatology community. The Global Medical Director – ritlecitinib will serve as an expert in the ritlecitinib data and disease area and lead execution of evidence and insight generation, interpretation, and dissemination activities for the safe and effective use of ritlecitinib.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Global Medical Director - Ritlecitinib will partner cross-functionally with medical teams, health economics and outcomes research and market access functions, clinical development, legal, compliance and commercial teams to execute activities supporting I&I Dermatology. The Global Medical Director - Ritlecitinib will collaborate directly with country medical teams to understand unmet medical needs and the medical environment including HCP and patient perspectives, regulatory and market access dynamics at the country level, and integrate needs and insights to co-create a global medical plan as part of a GLocal team.
  • Lead development and execution of internal medical training curriculum in collaboration with the I&I Medical Affairs Capabilities group
  • Lead internal data interpretation and alignment activities
  • Ensure evidence generation and dissemination strategies and plans are developed and executed in alignment with the ritlecitinib Scientific Narrative
  • Lead evidence dissemination and education activities including scientific publications and scientific exchange
  • Work cross-functionally with commercial, PHI, corporate affairs, Medical Information, etc. at global level as well as in the GLocal operating model with the countries
  • Demonstrate deep data and disease area expertise for ritlecitinib as well as alopecia areata and/or vitiligo
  • Manage internal I&I Medical Affairs communication platform including Global Medical Internal Community updates, notifications, and Sharepoint content
  • Lead insight generation activities, understanding the external customer perspectives through peer-to-peer interactions, data/facts/observations from field medical and advisory board meetings
  • Lead evidence generation activities including defining scope of independent research, and design clinical and research collaborations, and Pfizer non-interventional and interventional studies including post-hoc data generation
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
  • Very strong communications and peer-to-peer relationship building capacity and ability to listen, understand and integrate country and local needs
  • Extensive Dermatology Medical Affairs experience preferred
  • Proven track record of ability to work successfully with cross-functional colleagues in a matrix team setting across countries and internationally with diverse colleagues
  • Terminal Doctorate degree required (PharmD, PhD, or Doctor of Nursing Practice) and 6+ years of relevant experience required
  • Clinical/patient care experience in alopecia areata or vitiligo or other inflammatory or autoimmune skin diseases is preferred
  • Experience in alopecia areata or vitiligo or other dermatological or immunological diseases preferred
  • Launch experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership with authority
  • A minimum of five years industry experience in Medical Affairs preferred
  • Regulatory, clinical development and or other area experience is a plus
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $156,900.00 to $261,500.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Salary range does not apply to the Tampa, FL location.
Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
