What you will be doing

The Global Logistics Analyst is responsible for the door-to-door import/export movement of ocean containers, tracking and tracing shipments from overseas origin to US destinations. Work with different departments to ensure efficient service delivery and problem resolution including logistics, operations, customer service and finance.

The position will be based in Boise, Idaho.

Main responsibilities

  • Weekly logistics report maintenance, by providing supply chain visibility and exception reports to several departments.
  • Communicate and work with our Global sourcing, carriers, warehouses, truckers and internal depts. to ensure efficient service delivery and problem resolution including logistics, operations, customer service and finance.
  • Work as a team player with internal staff and external customers to accomplish least cost/on-time delivery service. KPl creation; Monitor and manage key analytics for department performance.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors in making sure appt and delivery to DC has been made.
  • Develop and analyze forecasts to determine supply chain strategies and solutions.
  • Responsible for tracking and tracing shipments from overseas origin to US destinations.
  • Partner with Global Sourcing and Procurement to ensure data integrity and forecasting.
  • Expense invoices processing, audit and validation.
  • Analyze the transportation cost per lane and commodity and ensure on time delivery.

What we are searching for

  • Possess excellent organizational and process skills, ability to multi-task.
  • Travel requirements: < 20%
  • College degree in International Logistics, Supply Chain or Business-related field.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required, specifically Excel and Access.
  • Three or more years international transportation management/analysis experience, i.e., Ocean freight import/export related business.
  • Must be able to function effectively in a team environment.
  • Good analytical, negotiating, and problem -solving skills.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
