Job Description

Title:

GAM: Logistics Specialist (Trainee)

Our solutions help ensure mission success on land, air, sea, space and cyberspace for the Department of Defense, intelligence community, NASA and other federal agencies. KBR’s areas of expertise include engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT and cybersecurity.

This role is with KBR’s GAM, Global Asset Management group. At GAM, we provide our customers with a range of services including Regulatory and Customer Compliance of Property Systems, Import/Export Trade Compliance, Material Management, Stockrooms/Tool Cribs/Receiving, Engineering Tool Design and Rework/Repairs, Records Management, Distribution Services, Capital Asset Management, Development & Production-Equipment Maintenance, and Facilities Project Management.

The Logistics Specialist (Trainee) will:

  • Establish and communicate completion dates for deliverables.
  • Meet schedules and support requirements to meet customer satisfaction.
  • Visually inspect shipments for damage before distribution.
  • Resolve most questions and problems and refer more complex issues to a higher level of support.
  • Assist at times in orientating and training lower-level employees.
  • Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of material, parts, and assemblies.
  • Arrange for distribution of materials upon arrival.
  • Maintain related records.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests and support cross-site KBR E-Team staff and customers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to work independently, implement basic to semi-complex verbal instructions, and follow approved workflow processes.
  • Must be Proficient in the MS Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Requires solid written and verbal communications skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 35lbs, walk at a measured pace for sustained periods, stand, sit, and kneel repetitively.
