Job Description
Overview:
JOB SUMMARY:

The Global FSQR AUDITOR: Supporting, planning, and organizing GSF global regulatory, food safety and quality projects & improvement initiatives to meet timelines, GSF standards and/or customer expectations. Responsible for the execution of food safety, quality and regulatory (FSQR) Corporate Readiness Assessment and other Internal audits to ensure GSF facilities are in compliance with GSF, customers, regulatory requirements. Proactively ensuring that GSF is current with all legislative, regulatory requirements and emerging issues in the markets where GSF has a business interest. As a subject matter expert will assist representing GSF with industry associations and/or other organizations.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Performs label reviews, completes regulatory related documentation (e.g., export documentation, tariff analysis, COO), ensures the regulatory compliance of all products, facilitates the completion of regulatory scans per customer equirement within the specific countries and regions and take preemptive actions to uphold the integrity and image of GSF and its interests. (5%).
  • Performs other related and assigned duties, as necessary.
  • Conducts Corporate FSQR Readiness Assessments and other internal audits (e.g., sanitation) to ensure compliance with all regulatory, customer, and company FSQR requirements (25%).
  • Provides advanced knowledge and understanding of all relevant regulatory trends in the areas of food processing, ingredients, formulations, religious compliance, organic compliance, and label compliance at the global level. (10%).
  • Communicates directly with the customers on assigned projects. (5%).
  • Domestic and International travel is required.
  • Collaborates with all GSF facilities to develop and implement global Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory (FSQR) policies & training programs. (20%).
  • Supports GSF facilities with troubleshooting/investigating Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory related incidents and best-practices implementation. (10%).
  • Collaborates with all facilities to review/verify the CAPA plans for all internal and external audits, and FSQR related incidents. (10%)
  • Provides regular updates regarding emerging food safety and regulatory issues. (5%).
  • Issue concise verbal and written reports relative to observations and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders. (10%).
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:

Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in food science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related areas from an accredited university.


Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of relevant food safety, quality and regulatory affairs work experience within the food manufacturing environment.

Experience with developing food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance programs for multiple facilities at the Global level preferred. International food manufacturing experience preferred.
