Job Title: GIS Analyst (Remote work possible)

Location: Boston, MA

Schedule: 40 HPW



The Opportunity:


The GIS Analyst will creatively problem solve, manage data, conduct analysis, and produce exceptional maps and data products supporting the Golden State Wind and Bluepoint Wind project teams.


Qualifications:

  • Experience using a variety of GIS, both proprietary (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, Google Earth Engine) and open source (emphasis on PostGIS) to maintain data repositories and complete geospatial analyses.
  • Experience working with different databases and data types (PostGres, SQLServer, Mongo, APIs etc.)
  • Maritime/Costal GIS Experience is desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Engineering, GIS or related program OR 7 years’ related experience, experience and/or training
  • 3 - 5 years of experience supporting geospatial planning, permitting, and engineering solutions in support of GIS information operations and analysis.



What You'll Be Doing:


  • Evaluate user needs and develop GIS solutions, spatial libraries, mapping templates, supporting documentation, and user manuals, and provide end-user training and support.
  • Work with project teams and project subcontractors to design and effectively employ GIS work products on regulatory and permitting elements of offshore wind projects.
  • Lead the delivery of GIS services and work products to creatively problem solve, manage data, conduct analysis, and produce exceptional maps and data products supporting Golden State Wind and Bluepoint Wind.
