The Impact:
Premier Data Services require a GIS Analyst to translate, maintain, analyze, interpret, and input spatial and tabular database information to produce professional cartographic products; as well as assisting in providing a top-quality service to Premier Data Services’ clients. Key responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities:
  • Develop web maps and applications using ArcGIS Online to clearly visualize data for non-GIS users.
  • Provide expertise in GIS (Geographic Information System) related applications, including ArcMap, ArcCatalog, and ArcGIS Pro.
  • Generate professional cartographic products and tabular reports to illustrate problem areas or indicate where additional information is required.
  • Gather, analyze, and integrate spatial data from federal cadastral and land records to improve the quality of the BLM’s digital datasets.
Required Education:
  • University degree (Bachelors or equivalent) in GIS/Geography or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Strong working knowledge with ArcGIS, and any other GIS software/applications.
  • 5+ years of experience working with geospatial data and applications.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in use of MS Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail, work ethic and professionalism.
  • Subject matter expert in GIS Tools and applications and proficient in the use of industry standard GIS applications.
  • Ability to perform spatial analysis and interpretation.
  • Can independently make difficult decisions related to the validity of information and sources.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Public Land Survey System (PLSS) and other cadastral/land records information.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with the Bureau of Land Management’s corporate business processes, federal land records, and resource management practices.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to physically perform general office requirements.
Travel
  • Not expected, but some may be required.
This role will be fully remote and will reside within the US. Visa assistance is not currently being offered for this position.
Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $48,200 to $64,900. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
