Job Description

Position: Geospatial Analyst

VerticalGeo has employment openings for Geospatial Analysts. We are a geospatial information production company focusing on feature extraction and chart assembly using ESRI’s ArcGIS suite and LiDAR production using the Microstation/TerraSolid suite.

Desired Experience:

Education Level:

  • BA/BS degree in Geography, Geology, Engineering, Cartography, Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, Surveying, Computer Science, or a related discipline

Experience:

  • Experience with the Microstation/TerraSolid suite of software
  • Experience with the ArcGIS 10.x suite of software

:

Geospatial Analysts are expected to have technical expertise in the areas of Geography, Photogrammetry, Cartography, Imagery Analysis, GIS, Surveying and Civil Engineering.

The Geospatial Analyst will:

  • Perform routine feature extraction processes for real-world geographic data such as hydrographic, aeronautical, and/or physiographic features, utilizing a variety of GIS and Remote Sensing tools.
  • Perform cartographic feature assembly and placement for Aeronautical, Nautical, and Terrestrial Charts.
  • Serve on a team that produces the highest quality of advanced vector GIS data products generated from Stereo and/or Monoscopic imagery sources.

*This position is 100% remote, but VerticalGeo is looking for candidates located in the Greater St. Louis, MO area.
