Job Description
Maxar is looking for a versatile and innovative Geospatial Analyst to support an interesting and exciting macroeconomic modeling project within the Intelligence Community.

Day-to-Day:
  • The database contains baseline data on a per-country basis, and you will provide the necessary subsets by querying, extracting, and aggregating the data. This dynamic dataset is used to answer interesting and complex intelligence questions, and you will be joining a team of awesome smart people doing exciting work.
  • Work with the customer to continually apply this data to emerging intelligence questions and implement requested updates
  • Support a US Government R&D office with curating and management of large amounts of data, mainly geospatial data representing numerous subjects of interest.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Knowledge of best practices for data standards, data management, data quality.
  • Current/active TS/SCI security clearance with required Polygraph.
  • Ability to communicate your analysis to experts and lay persons alike.
  • Minimum 2 years’ professional experience.
  • Experience with relational databases including PostGreSQL/PostGIS.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Geography, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, etc.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience with Web Mapping and services or willingness to learn.
  • Functional knowledge of ArcGIS desktop, geodatabase structure and capabilities, projections and other GIS techniques or willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in cartography, GIS, spatial modeling.
  • Experience using Python with spatial data.
  • Experience with geospatial software such as ArcGIS, QGIS or willingness to learn.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
$112,000.00 - $187,000.00 annually.
