Job Description
Registered General/Vascular Sonographer I San Antonio, TX | Full -Time, Part-Time, PRN

We’re looking for a credentialed General/Vascular Sonographer to provide diagnostic services to our physician partners across the San Antonio area. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Perform sonographic procedures. (No surprise there!)
  • Create patient reports to assist the physician with documentation.
  • Provide visual sonographic guidance to complete successful Paracentesis/thoracentesis or US-guided needle aspiration/biopsy.
  • Other duties assigned by managers.
  • Increase your knowledge of diseases and new procedures through CMEs.
  • Cover a variety of clinical settings, including outreach clinics, which may involve extended commute times and travel throughout the workday.
  • Communicate sonographic findings to physician.
  • Participate in weekend or night on call rotation.
  • Restock sonography rooms with required supplies for sonography performance.
  • Communicate machine errors or needs to maintain quality machines and imagery.
  • Inspect and review patient charts, reports, lab results, and medical history.
  • Analyze sonograms to identify abnormalities.
Please note that duties and responsibilities of this position are subject to change and the employee may be required to perform additional tasks as needed.

IS THIS YOU?
  • Registered General and/or Vascular Technologist Certification (RVT)(RDMS)(RVS)(ARRT-s)
  • Able to remain calm in emergencies or patient distress
  • Knowledgeable of applied physics related to ultrasound
  • Able to communicate effectively with physicians, clients, and team members
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited educational program in DMS/ Vascular Technology or equivalent
  • Possess a valid state issued driver’s license with good standing driving record.
  • Knowledgeable of human anatomy and medical terminology related to General and RVT specialties
  • Willing to drive locally to ultrasound patients in various settings (nursing homes/hospitals/free standing ER’s/clinics) in different facilities throughout shift.
  • Able to adapt to different environments, protocols, and standards set by multiple different clinical sites
  • Compliant with HIPAA as it relates to the use of EMR systems

  • Bachelor's degree in Sonography or other related fields of study
  • Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSK)
