SALARY RANGE: $66,000 - $70,000 per year
LOCATION: Seattle, WA - Capitol Hill

ROLE SUMMARY:
We are seeking a General Manager to run our iconic original location. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for people, food & beer and of course, hospitality. Elysian Capitol Hill is a fun and fast paced environment and needs a leader who is patient, creative and hands on. More than anything, the General Manager will act as a leader by empowering, developing and executing day to day operations with their team, as a team.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Monitors and maintains the productivity level of employees within labor targets.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the brand specific service culture.
  • Communicates areas that need attention to staff and follows up to verify understanding.
  • Understanding team members ever changing needs and expectations, and how to exceed them.
  • Supervises daily F&B shift operation and monitors compliance with all F&B policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees.
  • Assists in the ordering of Food and Beverage (F&B) supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms.
  • Supervises staffing levels to verify that guest service, operational needs, and financial objective are met.
  • Creates and nurtures an atmosphere that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork and passion for providing service.
  • Verifies that all team members/supervisors understand the brand specific philosophy.
  • Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
  • Maintains the operating budget.
Providing Exceptional Customer Service
  • Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
  • Provides services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Responds in a timely manner to customer service department request.
  • Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.
  • Sets a positive example for guest relations.
  • Manages day-to-day operations, monitors quality, and standards and meets the expectations of the guests.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Extends professionalism and courtesy to team members at all times.
  • Provides information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Performs hourly job function if necessary.
  • Comprehends budgets, operating statements, and payroll progress report.
  • Provides guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Eager to train and develop your team.
  • Thorough knowledge of food and beverage industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • 2+ years of restaurant management preferred
  • Ability to manage people in a high-stress, fast-paced working environment.
  • Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to problems.
  • Basic to Intermediate level proficiency in office-related software.
  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to take initiative.
  • High School or GED required
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deal tactfully with difficult customers.
