As a member of the Alternative Investment Operations team you will support the administration of private equity, private real estate, hedge funds, and other fund complexes when needed. Your specific duties would include performance measurement and reporting, processing capital calls and distributions, cash management, preparation of quarterly reports, valuation support, audit and tax support, data entry, systems support, preparation of regulatory and internal fund reports, and updating policies and procedures.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000

Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Your Core Responsibilities:
  • Audit and Tax Support - Obtain and track K-1's and foreign reporting information from underlying funds. Prepare data for responding to client requests and audit confirmations. Assist with preparing notes to the financial statements. Interact with Tax and Financial Reporting teams.
  • Subscription and Redemption documentation – Prepare and submit private equity and/or hedge fund documentation to underlying managers for trading implementation.
  • Reporting - Input and maintain company and fund data. Prepare, coordinate, and distribute various internal and external reports on an ongoing and ad hoc basis. Prepare, review, and manage certain regulatory filings.
  • Preparation of portfolio valuations and quarterly reports for internal and external clients.
  • Capital Calls and Distributions - Assist with the preparation, tracking and completion of fund investment transactions, including detailed documentation and obtaining all required approvals.
  • Client Service - Act as a point of contact/liaison with investors, portfolio managers, administrators, and custodians for Fund Administration as it relates to the day-to-day operations for the funds.
  • Valuation Support - Retrieving and tracking portfolio company valuations and inputting into industry-specific applications.
  • Cash Management - Preparation of wire instructions, cash projections and reconciliations. Reconcile and track unfunded commitments.
  • Address all inquiries with professionalism and timely response.

Your Expertise:
  • Equity, Private Real Estate, and Hedge Funds, while also understanding industry standards in the marketplace and how they compare to Russell Investments’ products.
  • Working knowledge of the relationships and interactions between money managers and administrators/custodians/transfer agents.
  • Excellent client service skills; superior written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of investment products and securities.
  • Understanding of the investment strategies of alternative investment funds, specifically Private
  • Ability to interpret accounting/financial information and understand how, when implemented, it may affect corporate profitability, distributor attraction/attention and investor attraction/attention.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure with minimal supervision; ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a highly functioning team.
  • Ability to perform technical analysis.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Efficiency with Microsoft Office products and overall aptitude for utilizing technology to assist with business processing.
