Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Fuel Attendant, you are a member of the Tarbell Management Group Retail Department. You will conduct business according to the details of your job description and the employee manual, making the customer our # 1 priority. As a member of the TMG team you will be required to live and breathe our mission to deliver excellence in the markets we serve. This position will provide full service to our customers in a responsible manner.

Organizational mandates:

Customer Service

  • Teamwork is an essential part of providing outstanding customer service, maintaining the presentation of the store and exterior, all members of our staff are expected to work together to ensure that every customer experience is the best.
  • Provide outstanding service to our customers at all pump locations prior, during and after the sales transaction of fuel products.

Policies & Procedures

  • Follow convenience store policies and procedures at all times.

Personal Appearance & Professionalism

Cleanliness of Store

  • Maintain the cleanliness and image of the stores according to brand standards. Maintain cleanliness and neatness of canopy, fuel station and isles. Help dust, clean windows and sweep floors. Clean as you go. Assure pump area and store is free of debris and trash. Empty trashcans accordingly and discard in dumpster. Replace trashcans with new trash bag.
  • Stock the coolers with the correct beverage or food item. Rotate items accordingly.

Cash Handling

  • Assure payment from pumps is brought to the main till and record immediately.

Product Knowledge

  • Receive and stock inventory.
  • Ensuring situational awareness is being displayed at all times.
  • Must maintain a working knowledge of operating various fuel pumps and/or grades of fuel. This is to include but not limited to: Gas, Diesel, Fuel Oil, Kerosene, Propane and Cam II.
  • Responsible for reconciliation of your daily paperwork.

Safety

  • Report any drive-offs, over-pumps immediately to Manager/Supervisor or Cashier. Attempt to copy license plate if possible to report to Tribal Police.
  • Engage in the daily safety checklist to ensure our customers and employees are not presented with any hazards to health or life. Ensure all fuel lines from pumps are placed on island and away from possible damage by being driven over.
  • Must be able to lift &carry store inventory and other supplies/equipment up to 50lbs.
  • Do not carry more than 2 pump payments on self.

Attendance

  • Perform other related duties and activities as requested by the Executive Team, District Manager, and/or Store Management Team.

BEHAVIORAL CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to interact with all levels of employees and external parties, both directly and on the telephone.
  • Must be able to stand for periods of time up to 10hrs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, up to 10 hours.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of employees and external parties, both directly and on the phone.
