Job Description

We are a well established fee-for-service, low volume, patient-centered, high quality general dental practice, located in Slidell, LA. We don't sell dentistry, we help people make good decisions. We place a high priority on creating relationships with and being advocates for our patients, so our work is very rewarding and has a big impact on people's lives. We are also holistically-inclined, and health oriented, interested in treating the root cause of oral disease.


Though possessing the skills we seek is crucial, it is even more important that you work well with a team, are a great communicator, and share the same values we do. Some of those values include:

  • The job we are hiring for is a front desk/patient coordinator. We are a well established fee-for-service, low volume, patient-centered, high quality general dental practice, located in Slidell, LA. Our job as a team is to help people achieve their health goals, not to sell dentistry. Though possessing the skills we seek is crucial, it is even more important that you work well with a team, are a great communicator, and share the same values we do. Some of those values include:

Skills we seek:

  • Tech savviness is a plus!
  • Must have Dentrix experience
  • Answering phones, scheduling, and answering questions patients may have
  • Must be comfortable on a computer and have web knowledge
  • Communication, warmth, compassion, a "people person"
  • Posting payments and balancing the ledger
  • Insurance claims (though we are fee-for-service, we help patients file insurance claims, and we expect someone to be able to confidently navigate and manage those claims)
  • Must have had experience in the dental industry and know basic terminology, procedures, etc.


We are a functional/integrative/holistic dental practice, and likely our approach and philosophy is different from what you are used to. As such, it may be necessary to re-learn or un-learn certain concepts that are considered "standard" in the other practices you've worked, so should be open to and capable of receiving coaching.
