Job Description
This role is open to be based from: Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; New York, NY; Washington, D.C.; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Austin, TX


Candidates must be able to start the week of 7/17/23 and will work approximately 20 hrs/wk (Mon-Fri) through 8/18/23.


This position can be done remotely from any of the above locations.


We are looking for social-obsessed community managers on a freelance basis.


Community is at the core of everything we do, and this community manager will become the expert on a passionate community of brand fans (seriously, they even have a branded term to describe themselves). They will use that expertise to drive deeper brand love on owned social media channels (e.g. TikTok, Instagram), and push the brand into broader cultural conversations. The ideal candidate is culturally curious, proactive, and passionate for the role that community plays in building brand.


As the voice of the audience, this position will also partner with the broader Strategy team to identify community trends and insights to inform creative briefs, social content, and campaigns. The community manager will work with the client to manage consumer responses and proactively flag opportunities and escalations to the team. They will also be responsible for developing snapshot reports for the clients to provide insights and recommendations based on community behavior, and report on operational KPIs.


They must also have solid research, writing, and editing skills. They should have an appreciation for how social media impacts the overall customer experience. They should be flexible and agile and should be able to work collaboratively with all implementation teams to ensure that the brand’s communication objectives and strategies are met.


Responsibilities:


  • Exemplify the brand voice and tone in all social community interactions
  • Proactively identify category and cultural opportunities to proactively join in the social conversation
  • Lead responsive community engagement on owned brand channels
  • Have a consistent pulse on culture and pull reports on real-time trends
  • Keep account and project management team abreast of timelines and deadlines
  • Knowledge of social platform updates and usage
  • Manage multiple projects while anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline adherence
  • Work with strategy and analytics to provide learnings and recommendations based on current trends in the community and industry
  • Support the broader Strategy team with the development of campaign briefs and provide support (as needed) during brainstorms
  • Partner to develop and publish community reports
  • Escalate social issues as needed in a timely matter


Basic Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 1-2 years of social media community management experience supporting consumer brands
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience managing brand handles and posting content across social platforms including TikTok and Instagram


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Great writing skills and a strong grasp of major social media platforms are essential to this role. The candidate also must have excellent organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Sprinklr and MS Office applications, specifically Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.


$35 - $40 an hour
