MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND SUPPORTING ACTIVITIES:

Perform manual reviews of direct channel orders paid via credit card as needed to identify patterns and trends that could indicate fraud


  • High-level analysis of declines for potential override/approval
  • Use of customer database such as Salesforce, WorldPay, and additional fraud prevention tools to perform pattern analysis that may bear signs of fraud
  • Use Riskified alerts and dashboard monitoring to locate and action declined orders
  • Reauthorization/recapturing of failed payments
  • Daily maintenance of Excel spreadsheet databases and activity logs
  • Investigate flagged orders and cancel those that truly appear to be fraudulent

Interdepartmental collaboration to address consumer inquiries and disputes

  • Daily monitoring and actioning fraud-related email and IM helpline inquiries
  • Collaborate with SOP and 3rd party partners to cancel or intercept fraudulent orders
  • Contacting cardholders regarding unauthorized activity
  • Track and dispute chargeback claims through the relevant application systems
  • Collaborate with profit protection and legal teams on fraud-related matters
  • Contacting law enforcement agencies and shipping carriers on fraud-related matters


Occasional outbound calls

  • Contacting law enforcement agencies and shipping carriers on fraud-related matters
  • Contacting cardholders and financial institutions regarding unauthorized activity
  • Contacting purchasers to re-capture expired payments
  • Contacting purchasers regarding order approvals and declines


Special projects and ad hoc requests

  • Completing projects as assigned within the specified timeframe

  • Required knowledge of internet functionality, system navigation, and understanding of basic computer hardware (laptops, computer peripherals, etc.)
  • A designated and uninterruptible home office area is required
  • Reliable home internet connection is required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but will consider relevant experience
  • Background in customer support required
  • Schedule flexibility required. Must have the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed.

  • Ability to follow strict fraud protocol
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and strong research skills
  • Uncompromised, high ethical/moral standards a must
  • Intermediate MS Excel experience required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrated competence in mathematics
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong finance skills, particularly the ability to reconcile large amounts of Excel data in detail
  • Strong internal and external customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain a perfect balance of quality and speed required
  • SAP experience is a plus
