Job Description
Position Summary:

The Foundation Development Associate will provide development support to all areas of the Foundation including, Major Gifts, Events, Sustained Giving, Planned Giving, Grants, cultivation activities and other methods.
Responsibilities:

Essential Functions
  • Works to ensure excellent customer service and working relationship with team members, vendors, community leaders, event sponsors/participants, volunteers and customers (i.e. patient families).
  • Assist in the creation and writing of donor proposals.
  • Responsible for building a donor portfolio with the guidance of a supervisor. A portfolio consists of prospects, donors, event interactions, donor visits, dollars requested and dollars received, campaign and service line development, and stewardship efforts.
  • Maintains regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of cultivation events, fundraising events, and tours.
  • Work and develop relationships with key volunteers to grow and expand fundraising efforts
  • Represent the Foundation at certain Orlando Health Functions, as well as, outside Community Events for the purpose of raising awareness of the Orlando Health Foundation as well as the mission of Orlando Health. Attend a minimum of one event per quarter, with a total of six events per year.
  • May be responsible for managing the grant application process including research towards new funding opportunities, applications, post-award.
  • Develops experience supporting a minimum of three areas (i.e. Sustained Giving, Major Gifts, Planned Giving, Grants) of the Foundation.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
  • Assist with managing on-line fundraising campaigns, engage donors through digital mediums via emails and other social media platforms.
  • Assist with the development of stewardship plans for major donors and family foundations.
  • Manages multiple ongoing areas of responsibility for the benefit of the Orlando Health Foundation. Responsible for managing timelines and strategic planning for assigned events and initiatives.
  • Evaluate and update the donor recognition.
Other Related Functions
  • Participates actively to assure compliance in assigned areas of responsibilities.
  • Has access to confidential data that allows for coordinating and organizing assigned responsibilities.
  • Requiresflexibility to provide development support and/or special event execution on weekends and after hours.
  • Proactively seeks process improvement in a solution-focused manner.
  • Assists with the planning and preparation of group tours, proposals and presentations as appropriate.
  • Regularly analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of all assigned projects.
