Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: The Foster Care Intake Coordinator will be responsible for all growth activities of the foster care program; including conducting foster home investigations utilizing the regulations established by the Department of Social Services and overseeing placement activities of foster children into the licensed foster homes.


QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in a Human Service field or a Bachelor's degree and one (1) year experience in working with clients in foster care or an Associate's Degree and two (2) years of experience in residential child group or foster care or four (4) years of experience at Epworth. A minimum of 4 years of experience working with children and families preferred.


REQUIRED SKILLS: Applicant must have knowledge of or willingness to learn skills in counseling, case management, and social work. Must possess excellent communication skills in written and verbal form. Proficiency with various software programs. Knowledge of or willingness to learn skills in counseling, case management, and social work. Must be able to pass standard background checks, including drug screen, employment physical, SLED, FBI, DSS Central Registry, and Sex Offenders Registry.
