Schedule:

Monday - Friday hours / 8 hours/week

Description:

• Formulation of all types of Hair, Skin & Sun Care products including but not limited to gels, creams, lotions, serums, beach products, sticks, sprays, and balms
• Perform and track prototype stability and compatibility
• Maintain, organize and order lab supplies/raw materials as necessary
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures
• Specifically, pH meter, Brookfield Viscometer, stand mixers, and Silverson homogenizers
• Understanding of emulsion, polymers and surfactant technology, and general cosmetic technology as well as formulation techniques

Requirements:

• Must have good problem-solving, decision-making, and organization skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Or be currently enrolled in a matriculated program geared toward a four-year science degree
• Be able to follow a set formula and procedure provided by senior chemists to create finished formulations
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical engineering, or related field with 0-2 years of formulation experience
• Ability to maintain a laboratory notebook, as a professional legal document
• Be able to lift 50 lbs, and work at the bench for 8 hours per day

Additional Description:

• B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry required
• Bench lab technician work
• Will work alongside Sr. Chemists
• Entry level 1-2 years experience
• Someone who can be a "sponge" to experience personal care testing experiences
