Key Responsibilities

• Ensure material is delivered to the construction site per established agreements and in a timely fashion
• Inspect materials when delivered to ensure they comply with quality standards and specifications
• Assist in the interview and selection of new hires
• Must work well as part of a team
• Perform other related duties as required of the position or as assigned by supervision.
• Meet contract specifications and company quality standards
• Follow verbal and written instructions
• Safe use of hand & power tools
• Maintain and encourage job safety
• Set daily work objectives that meet the goals of the schedule and communicate them to the crew while encouraging the crew’s input in the setting of the goals
• Supervise employees’ activities at the project site in accordance with schedules, budgets, plans, and pre-establish policies and procedures as directed by the superintendent
• Accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift
• Has authority to dismiss laborers and operators when necessary and in accordance with established company guidelines
• Report to and assist immediate supervisor
• Determine ad recommend improvements in methods, schedules, and procedures where practical on the project
• Assume responsibility for quality of workmanship
• Review labor reports weekly

• Sign and code delivery tickets
• Practice safety rules
• Ability to supervise and evaluate craft performance essential
• Perform quality work as determined by project specifications
• Report daily time of crew, equipment, and materials used, as well as quantities of work completed
• Assist the supervisor in identifying and resolving quality control problems on job and plant sites
• Any extra work, back charges to subcontractors, or delays caused by owner, utility company, or others
• Recommend changes in material suppliers and truckers, which must be coordinated the superintendent
• Schedule and request needed personnel as indicated for timely project completion in conjunction with superintendent
• Train laborers and craftsmen in the basic skills required to perform the tasks with minimum supervision

Education & Minimum Requirements

• Must comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy
• 5 years of foreman experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
• Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc
• Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.)
• Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplace
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
• Must be clean shaven and able to work while wearing a respirator and other personal protective equipment, when required
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.)
• Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
