Job Description

In this role, you will deliver outstanding dining experiences in El Tapeo Restaurant + Bar on the 9th floor of Le Meridien Hotel at Oakbrook Center. Our Food Runner works in tandem with our Restaurant Servers in El Tapeo and also delivers Room Service orders to hotel guests, making great tips in both roles. El Tapeo celebrates the bold flavors of a modern Spanish Kitchen with a simple, ingredient-driven menu. More than just a restaurant, El Tapeo provides the ultimate gathering place for family and friends to enjoy Spanish-inspired shareable plates, vibrant cocktails and a global wine list designed with every palate in mind.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver orders to restaurant guests, support Restaurant Servers. Clear dishes, glasses, silverware, napkins, food and beverage from tables. Clean and reset tables as guests depart. Ensure the restaurant area is clean, stocked and visually appealing. Deliver Room Service orders to hotel guests, clear and remove Room Service dishes and trays.


REQUIREMENTS Previous Server Assistant / Busser experience preferred. Ability to communicate information effectively to management and guests. Open availability evenings including weekends and holidays is required. Bassett Certification Required to have or obtain upon hire. Food Handler License Required to have or obtain upon hire.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. Able to bend, twist, squat, reach and walk with ease. Stand constantly.
