Fire Watch Seasonal Jobs

Who you are: You enjoy being outdoors and value communicating and helping your coworkers. You are always alert, attentive and aware of your surroundings. You may bring with you some previous experience in logging, ranching or some other type of job that works outside. Regardless of experience, you are dependable, work hard every day and aren’t afraid to communicate and ask questions.

What the job is: This job has the responsibility to alert management and the proper authorities of fire or fire hazards on the company property. You would also be responsible for helping extinguish fires once proper communications have been sent. Responsible for housekeeping of the equipment to prevent fires. In this role it's important to have good communication skills and be a team player due to the safety concerns that wildfire brings. The key to being successful is working smart, efficient and being aware of your surroundings.

Work schedule: An example of the schedule could look like Monday - Friday, 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Usual days off are Saturday and Sunday. During the height of the season (summer months) there may be overtime available.

Where you’ll work: The job is located in Klamath Falls, but you will be driving throughout the property which is around 600,000 acres.

Compensation Details: The hourly rate for this job is $20.00. This is a seasonal position lasting from June to early October 2023 working a 40-hour week.
