They are looking to bring on a Financial Reporting Manager in a NEWLY-CREATED role under the new Controller.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards, assess their impact on financial reporting, and ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting processes, streamline workflows, and implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee the financial reporting function, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity.
  • Coordinate and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and accurate financial information is provided to management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Treasury, and Operations, to gather financial information and support decision-making processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasting, providing financial insights and analysis to support the planning process.
  • Manage and develop a team of financial reporting professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and training to ensure a high level of performance.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leading and managing financial reporting processes, including month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Prior experience in managing a team and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide insights to drive decision-making.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, with the ability to apply accounting principles to complex financial transactions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large sets of financial data.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in the hospitality, travel, or cruise industry.
  • Proficient in financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and data interpretation.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial reporting systems.
