Job Description

Our company is the leading company in coffee shop and restaurant distribution. We are currently looking for an experienced in-house Controller to oversee our Accounting Department. The ideal candidate will have accounting experience and a strong willingness to be involved in all day-to-day functions of the department while also being primarily responsible for all Accounts Payable. Seeking an individual who is a strong communicator who will assist in budgeting and financial reporting process. The Controller will also produce thorough financial status reports for senior level management that will assist in improving operation efficiency and growth.


Responsibilities:

Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting functions.

  • Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
  • Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
  • Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
  • Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, reconciling books of accounts
  • Oversee and support all accounting staff.
  • Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
  • Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards.
  • Coordinate activities of external auditors
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
  • Processing due invoices for payments


Qualifications:

  • Working, up to date knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
  • Professional certification in accounting be it a CPA or CA or a Bachelors in Business or Accounting
  • Experience managing an accounting team.
  • 10 or more years of professional accounting experience
