Job Description
A nationally recognized vibrations consulting company using remote monitoring systems to measure vibrations to ensure safety and security is seeking a full-time Field Technician to join our team at our Nashville, Tennessee location.


As a Field Technician with Vibra-Tech Engineers, Inc. you will travel to various worksites, such as homes, commercial buildings and other structures to conduct pre/post blast inspections, perform on-site vibration monitoring, manage installation, test, repair and maintenance of service equipment. Be a support to the area manager as well as provide service and support to customers.


Our ideal candidate has experience using video and digital cameras, is proficient in computer and technical skills Possesses strong communication skills, the ability to follow instructions and work independently. Experience or degree in Geology, Earth Science or related field, preferred but not required.

What You'll Be Doing:


  • Follow company procedures and protocol
  • Perform general office duties, including technical report writing and proofreading, use of office machines, and computer software, including MS Office
  • Manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance and testing
  • Provide service and customer support during field visits
  • Build positive relationships with current and potential customers
  • Report preparation
  • Anticipate and act to maintain a safe environment. Incorporates safety/risk management standards into daily work practices
  • Conduct detailed pre and post-blast inspections of homes, commercial buildings/other structures
  • Troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
  • Perform on-site and remote seismograph vibration monitoring at mining, quarry and construction operations
  • Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
