Job Description

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Vulcan Industries is seeking a qualified field service technician. The successful candidate shall be responsible for installation assistance, start-up, adjustment, troubleshooting and repair of waste water equipment, as well as training end users in proper operation and maintenance. This position reports directly to Management, but also coordinates with mechanical and electrical engineering departments, and fabrication departments. Extensive travel is required with this position.

The successful candidate will perform the following duties:

  • Provide new equipment start-up, adjustment and calibration
  • Train end users in proper operation and maintenance of equipment
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair
  • Generate detailed reports related to above services
  • Provide installation assistance and supervision to on-site contractors

The following general skills are required:

  • Strong mechanical background
  • Strong electrical background, with emphasis on 3 phase, single phase and PLC circuits
  • Superior organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Be able to work unsupervised in varying climates
  • Have prior field service experience
  • Must possess strong English verbal and written communication skills

Education requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required

Experience:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in hands-on field service, troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical repair.

This is a full time (M-F) salary based position offered with a competitive benefits package. This position requires extensive travel within the United States, with possible limited overseas travel.
