Power Careers is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our client's team.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support, preventive maintenance, on-site repairs, and commissioning of a diverse range of voltage control and power quality equipment.
Your duties will also include scheduling service calls with customers, conducting troubleshooting and testing, and ensuring the efficient operation of electrical and mechanical equipment.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Deliver training to third-party service providers as required.
  • Complete other assigned projects under the guidance of the Field Service Manager.
  • Track and report service-related problems, including field repairs and returns to the factory.
  • Prepare written reports documenting all repair activities, including time sheets and expense reports, to facilitate timely customer invoicing.
  • Valid driver's license - US citizen, obtain US Passport
  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on various types of equipment.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers over the phone.
  • Share feedback with management to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Carry out start-up services for our client's products, such as regulators and UPS systems, at customer sites.
  • Conduct final testing and inspection of equipment prior to shipping, when not dispatched.
Experience:
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • 1 year relevant experience or equivalent
  • 2-year technical degree in electronic or electrical engineering
  • Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, manuals
  • Proficient in power quality equipment
