This contingent staff position was a field planner and primary backup to the Sr. Work Activity Coordinator for a large capital project that will modernize the plant's Site’s steam, power, and electrical assets. The emphasis of this role will be around planning, resourcing, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to support project Commissioning and Startup. The minimum duration for this assignment is 12 months, with the potential to be extended an additional 6 months depending upon the project completion status.
The Maintenance Planner must be experienced in maintenance job planning with skills and knowledge to create a job package from the work order scope. The job package includes all information about required resources including Labor, Materials, Tools, Equipment, and Services, and cost estimate needed to ensure safe, effective, and efficient execution of the work.
Responsibilities:
* Drive assigned Maintenance Field Planning Activities to achieve maximum value for the business.
* Conduct field visits and walk out the job with plant personnel to ensure completeness and accuracy of scope
* Identify / document all task & activities necessary to execute job plan.
* Identify / solicit Safety information & requirements to perform job tasks.
* Identify / collect all specific procedures and “the plant's Most Effective Technology” (MET) documents as relevant to the job to include in job package
* Prepare job plans and job package per specified scope and include Labor, tools, equip., materials, services, and cost needed to complete job.
* Input job plan into SAP indicating the required resources, materials, and services
* Utilize other information technology tools such as Adept, EDMS, EMETL and MOC to optimize the planning process.
* Initiate improvements in the planning process / tools and teach others in these improvements.
Required Qualifications:
* A minimum of Five (5) years’ experience working in maintenance or equipment repair and a minimum of Two (2) years’ planning experience in a maintenance, shutdown and/or project planning is required.
* High school diploma or GED is required.
* Current, valid US driver’s license.
* Possess a TWIC card or the ability to obtain a TWIC card prior to the first day of employment.
* Possess a good understanding of various craft skill sets and application of those craft skills when applying them to job tasks.
* Willing to adhere to all safety standards, including the smoke free, tobacco free and drug free workplace policy.
* Proficient in SAP and Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Good interpersonal skills are required.
* Must have strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
* A self-starter who can identify, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks.
* Able to work within an empowered team environment.
