Job Description
Solar Alternatives is seeking a Field Engineer to assist in deployment of solar energy and energy storage systems in South Louisiana and Mississippi. The Field Engineer is a critical team member responsible for accurate work products, quality, and commissioning, as well as troubleshooting of new and existing energy systems. Responsibilities
  • Assisting operations in various project management of accounts including: permitting assistance, net meter applications, etc.
  • Technical field service visits
  • Web-based monitoring of systems and service scheduling
  • Design support regarding project installation layouts including: solar panels, water heaters, generators, and electric vehicle chargers
  • Providing training and technical support for clients

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Understanding of basic electronics
  • Excellent self-learning capability and
  • 2-dimensional CAD experience
  • Computer proficiency (networking a plus)
  • Engineering or science major
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
