Position: North America Field CISO—Technology and Media & Entertainment

Objective:

The Fortinet Field CISO for Technology and Media & Entertainment is a Security / Technology / Futurist who focuses on thought leadership for Fortinet. This is a senior level strategic technical position, responsible for the development of security thought leadership, strategy, threat, vulnerability & mitigation insights, and world class practices for the cyber security community and business executives. In this key role, you will drive sales growth into Technology Media and Entertainment Accounts. Create and implement strategic plans focused on attaining enterprise-wide deployments of Fortinet products and services. Develop executive relationships with key buyers and influencers in Technology, Media & Entertainment accounts and leverage these relationships. Work closely with customers and industry partners to educate and support their understanding of our vision, security framework, technology differentiators, and cost benefits. Coordinate with appropriate internal groups to position and sell Fortinet cybersecurity solutions in the context of industry-specific security challenges, regulations and business and technology drivers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and Drive Tech and Media & Entertainment Strategy Nationally
• Leverage and expand Tech and Media & Entertainment CISO relationships to position Fortinet strategically
• Be an ambassador and evangelist for Fortinet.

• Collaborate with Product Marketing to build strategic security solutions that help H Tech and Media & Entertainment customers exceed security and compliance requirements.
• Develop partnerships with national Tech and Media & Entertainment Software Vendors
• Represent Fortinet for key speaking engagements at H Tech and Media & Entertainment events nationally and online
• Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders around the organization.
• Serve as lead contact responsible for the flow of information to/from executive management
• Build industry training to enable field teams
• Enhance Tech and Media & Entertainment marketing plans with corporate and regional marketing leadership
• Travel within assigned territory is required
• Drive Fortinet Security Fabric with a focus on secure wireless and access technologies as well as IOT solutions that will simplify and improve security architecture.
• Challenge our current thinking and come up with innovative solutions as to how we identify and assess our prospective partners and customers.
• Develop and expand relationships with key decision makers, influencers and partners

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 10+ years Tech and Media & Entertainment experience
• Customer focused and commercially minded.
• Highly networked in the CISO executive networks, including CISO coalitions and summits, and regularly leveraging and working the inner circles of those connections to further promote the Fortinet brand and accelerate our business growth.
• Experience with compliance standards and regulatory mandates, security and privacy laws.
• Experience in closing large Tech and Media & Entertainment deals or executing successful Tech and Media & Entertainment security program
• Exceptional negotiation, demonstration, presentation and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
• Experience in the network security industry
• Goal oriented individual, with vast interpersonal managerial skills, strong business acumen and positive leadership abilities with proven results in mentoring, motivating and developing teams.
• CISO/Director level roles with Tech and Media & Entertainment organization desirable
• Demonstrated proficiency with security strategy, products, and ecosystems.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, MBA preferred.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Earnings for this position are expected to be $200,00 -$244,000 (+). Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company’s discretion.
