Job Description

Boulder Imaging is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to contribute to the delivery and support of our cutting-edge machine vision/AI inspection technology. Our future team member will initiate, facilitate, and drive various business problem-solving and engineering projects in collaboration with clients.


We work collaboratively to deliver custom machine vision solutions by studying end-user needs, systems flow, resource use, and work processes. Additionally, we will troubleshoot, and problem solve individually or collectively, based on the scope of the challenge.


This role provides an opportunity to work directly with customers to implement and support Boulder Imaging technology. This will include duties like performing technology demonstrations to existing and potential customers, support of the system, creation of documentation, and configuration of the system.


Qualifications and Skills

Direct experience in the following areas is needed:

•Design and development of complex software controlled electro-mechanical systems.

•System engineering processes including engineering designs & control systems.

•Hands on installation, troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical systems.

•Windows Server, MS SQL and/or MongoDB infrastructure design and networking.

•Data visualization and statistical analysis.

•Scalable networking and/or database architecture.

•Set-up and troubleshooting of wireless routers and wireless network – Cisco, ASUS.

•OPC, TCP/IP, Modbus protocols, switches.

•MS Office - especially PowerPoint and Word.

•Computer vision, machine vision, and/or wind energy industry experience a plus.

•Ability to effectively communicate and train technical information to nontechnical audiences.


Education and Work Experience

•BS in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Optics, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

•2-5 years of experience in working with customers to deliver and support technology solutions.


Salary

$70,000 - $100,000/year
