Position Overview
The Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (SUPR) is seeking to hire an energetic and detail-oriented individual to plan, organize, direct, supervise, evaluate and administer the activities of the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant Application (SABG) and Federal Reporting and Data Analysis office. This individual will formulate and implement statewide continuum of care system policy.
Job Responsibilities
1. Plans, organizes, directs, supervises, evaluates and administers the activities of the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant Application (SABG), Federal Reporting and Data Analysis Office.
2. Serves as full-line supervisor.
3. Through subordinate personnel, administers and provides oversight to the Federal Reporting and Data Analysis Section which includes development, expansion and enhancement of the design and implementation plan of internal IT plan for federal projects and a multitude of internal projects.
4. Delivers and identifies data for the Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (SUPR) leaders responsible for programmatic development and technical assistance services.
5. Coordinates, manages and provides feedback for the planning of both ongoing and time-limited non-routine administrative management functions supportive of statewide substance use disorder continuum of care system.
6. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college with course work in social or human services field.
2. Requires four (4) years progressively responsible administrative experience in a health or human services organization, including two years of responsible administrative experience in the field of alcohol or substance use disorder prevention or treatment or in the field of health, human or social service or criminal justice
Preferred Qualifications (in priority order)
1. Four (4) years of professional experience providing administrative oversight in the development of applications and reporting of federal grants.
2. Two (2) years of professional supervisory experience.
3. Two (2) years of professional experience communicating with internal and/or external stakeholders regarding implementation of federal grants.
4. Two (2) years of professional experience working with grant policies, procedures and programs.
5. Two (2) years of professional experience in the coordination and drafting of grant application including its review and approval processes for a large public or private organization.
6. Two (2) years of professional experience managing, coordinating and reviewing budgets for a public or private organization.
7. Two (2) years of professional grant writing experience.
8. Two (2) years basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Software, including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Tableau.
