JOB SUMMARY

Properly prepares bakes, displays and packages food items according to franchise requirement, ServSafe sanitation guidelines and Company standards.


Show up to work on time; do the job you were hired to do; go home.

st Job Task Priorities:

  • Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items.

  • Prepares, bakes and decorates food items following established recipes; franchise requirements; ServSafe guidelines; established menu; and Company standards.

  • Displays food items according to franchise requirements.

  • This position may require working alone most of the work night and self-managing and monitoring time to complete work tasks.


Job Responsibilities

  • Uses appropriate measuring and portion controls limiting waste.

  • Maintains a clean work area while baking and preparing foods, especially in raw state.

  • Assists coworkers when needed.


Safety

  • Practice and maintain a safe work environment during shift (i.e. clean and dry floor, clean work space, etc.).

  • Properly use and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks.

  • Report all incidents, injuries and safety hazards immediately to manager or supervisor no matter how small it may seem.

  • Sweep and mop floors as needed or assigned. Take care of emergency spills immediately using wet floor signs.

  • Uses Safety Data Sheets (SDS); knows what SDS are and where to find them.


Communication

  • Communicates regularly with department Manager, Assistant Manager and coworkers regarding tasks and updates on bake status.

  • Work and communicate cooperatively within team unit and overall department team. Minimize participation of non work-related distractions that prevent work tasks from being accomplished.

  • Report all incidents, injuries and safety hazards immediately to Manager or Assistant Manager no matter how small it may seem.
  • Report damaged equipment, fixtures, etc to Manager or Assistant Manager.

  • Avoid talking about coworkers in any department about other coworkers.

Teamwork

  • Assist helping other coworkers and training new Foodcourt Associates as needed- setting the example for teamwork.

  • Participate in company sponsored Team Player training.


Misc.

  • Responsible for reading & abiding by the associate handbook.

  • Perform all other job duties as requested, but not listed above. Such tasks may be required on a regular, occasional or infrequent basis in order to fulfill necessary functions of the job. Such duties may include assisting other areas in the Foodcourt.

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience in food service preferred.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSING, REGISTRATIONS

ServSafe certification preferred, but not required.
