Job Description
The master scheduler is responsible for creating, maintaining, driving and communicating the master production schedule and coordinating the capacity and S&OP Plans for the site. Candidate must have experience in coordinating production by putting together an achievable, measurable and executable schedule and sequencing jobs for assembly to meet customer expectations while optimizing capacity and minimizing finished goods and component inventories.


Responsibilities


  • Coordinate and determine finished goods and sub-assemblies for clean room production, track jobs to provide release dates of finished goods for customer service
  • Coordinate staging of rework and maintain rework and prelim logs
  • Work closely with purchasing to analyze inventory levels and product demand to ensure product availability
  • Develop, plan and execute the master production schedule based on actual and forecasted customer demand for all Made to order and Made to stock products considering capacity utilization and optimizing inventory levels.
  • Provide feedback to operations as to the status of “production critical” issues, recommend alternatives and solutions to inventory control problems, and recommend new methodologies or efficiencies to support profitability (process improvement)
  • Lead the capacity planning process and support the SC Manager in the S&OP Planning processes for the site.
  • Responsible for working with assigned work center supervisors in the proper tracking and reporting on schedule attainment. OTD (on time delivery), cycle time and yield for production orders on a weekly basis.
  • Lead daily production meetings, presenting updated master production schedules and making the necessary adjustments to keep the plan accurate and updated
  • Follow all reporting and documentation as required by established policies, practices and procedure


Education


  • CPIM, CSCP APICS certifications are preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business Administration or equivalent needed


Requirements


  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite specifically, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Powerpoint
  • Experience using ERP and Advanced Planning Systems required. ORACLE / KINAXIS is preferred
  • 3 - 5+ years planning experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Deadline driven professional with excellent internal & external customer service skills
