Job Description

The Fan Engagement Assistant helps execute new and existing fan-based programs.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assists and executes promotion plans to grow and develop Fan Engagement programming.
  • Collaborates with the Fan Engagement team to strategize activations during 49ers home games.
  • Assists with the management of the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and customer service for fan facing programs.
  • Helps oversee the 49ers Gameday/Event Associates during the season.
  • Monitors and engages communication with fans across Fan Engagement platforms.
  • Assists in developing and updating website content for new 49ers Fan Engagement programming.
  • Aids execution and strategic development of fan-facing programming to engage all demographics of fans in and out of market.
  • Implements fan club brand marketing campaign activities, including concept/creative development, promotional fulfillment, innovative deployment, and in-person/virtual event execution.
  • Assists in scheduling and managing a monthly calendar of in-person & virtual programming and content.
  • Tracks and reports digital analytics on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Proactively seeks information to gain a comprehensive understanding of the sports marketing industry including content offerings, emerging technologies, platforms, trends, competitive landscape, and all facets of their respective accounts to influence strategies and initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Abilities and Skills:

  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, while balancing and prioritizing multiple or competing tasks.
  • Communicates orally and in writing in a clear, concise, and impartial manner.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to initiate, design, plan, execute, monitor, and evaluate outcomes of a project or initiative.
  • Creative and innovative; the ability to see alternatives and solutions.
  • Ability to achieve planned objectives through completing relevant tasks and focus.


Education and Experience:

  • Strong storytelling, copywriting and editing skills.
  • Experience with Photoshop Adobe Suite a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Event Marketing experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree and 1-2 years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The employee will be in a typical indoor/outdoor facility the majority of the time and may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This position requires the ability to work extended hours and/or weekends.


Travel:

30% of local travel time and 15% of intra and interstate, as well as international travel requiring overnight stay are expected for this position.


Compensation:

$25.00/hr
