Description


The Oklahoma City Thunder is seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a Fan Development Experience Coordinator. This role will focus on event planning and influencer marketing campaign creation, with a keen understanding of multi-cultural audiences, and a proven track record of designing immersive brand experiences for fans and consumers. This role will be responsible for creating engaging fan programs, developing fan events based on audience briefs, and implementing strategies to foster brand desirability among the next generation of diverse audiences.


In this role you will:


  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute fan programs and events that resonate with diverse audience segments based on provided briefs.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure alignment of fan engagement initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Develop creative cross-departmental strategies that intersect different marketing avenues for increased brand exposure.
  • Develop strategies for creating memorable and immersive brand experiences that drive fan loyalty and engagement.
  • Regularly evaluate campaigns against set benchmarks and optimize strategies for better outcomes.
  • Drive multi-cultural marketing initiatives with a focus on fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Strategize and implement engagement plans tailored to multi-cultural audiences, considering cultural nuances and preferences.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of influencer marketing programs.
  • Innovate non-traditional marketing approaches to enhance brand visibility among emerging audiences.
  • Design and lead influencer marketing campaigns that encourage audience-generated content, impressions, and fan mobilization.
  • Lead and further develop student talent programs, such as College Ambassadors, to expand brand reach within educational institutions.
  • Lead the Thunder regional activations as it pertains to cultivating new and current fan segments within and outside the metro.
  • Lead initiatives to connect with diverse communities and create a sense of belonging through curated experiences.
  • Identify and collaborate with relevant influencers to amplify brand messaging and extend reach within target demographics.


What you’ll bring to the role:


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or military or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of multi-cultural audiences and the ability to tailor strategies accordingly.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • 1-3 years of experience in event planning and influencer marketing campaign creation.
  • Creative problem solver with a curiosity about innovative marketing approaches.
  • Familiarity with influencer landscape and trends.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proven success in developing engaging brand experiences for fans and consumers.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and ability to define and measure KPIs.
  • Passion for sports and entertainment is a plus.


Additional Information:


Primary work location will be the Thunder corporate office located in downtown Oklahoma City at Paycom Center. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Director, Fan Development & Retail. Employees are encouraged to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
