Facility Shop Hand Jobs

M&M International has an immediate need for a hard-working individual to join our crew as a Facility Shop Hand. This individual will participate in the general maintenance and cleaning of the buildings and equipment. Ideal applicants must be self-motivated, able to work both autonomously and in a team environment, and must be safety conscious at all times, abiding by all safety rules.

Schedule: Monday to Thursday 6am-4pm; Friday 6am-12pm

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clean buildings, machines, equipment, tools, and spills or debris as directed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in shop and/or yard maintenance preferred, but not required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:

• Must have the ability to operate a forklift.
• Must have ability to multi-task.
• Must be dependable and on time.
• Must be detail-oriented and have good communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Environment: Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor shop environment; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, and all types of weather and temperature conditions.

Physical: Primary functions require physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; to infrequently climb on ladders or stairs; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight; to operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel toe shoes and safety glasses, must be worn at all times while in the shop.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
