Job Description
Overview:
General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, a premier provider of ordnance weapons and tactical systems to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations, has an opening for a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to join our Bothell, WA Team. This position manages the Security Program for GD-OTS Seattle ensuring compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and other government and contractual security requirements. Support and advise management regarding Security policies, procedures, and practices. Maintains a working relationship with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and the National Security Agency (NSA).
Major Position Responsibilities:
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Manages inventory of classified holdings.
  • Manages personnel security clearances and periodic re-investigations using DISS and e-QIP.
  • Performs Industrial Security Facilities Database (ISFD) validations.
  • Meets with team members to develop security plans & procedures.
  • Manages facility access control system.
  • Develops and maintains all security-related personnel, investigation, and administrative files.
  • Provides security awareness education training and annual refresher trainings.
  • Manages Operations Security (OPSEC) Program.
  • Maintains visitor register, inventory of visitor badges, and processes site Visit Requests.
  • Manages classified information system as ISSM.
  • Investigates and reports security violations.
  • Coordinates and communicates security policies and procedures.
  • Maintains status of existing open investigations using DISS.
  • Coordinates issues with local management.
  • Manages Insider Threat Program.
  • Manages Communications Security (COMSEC) Program.
  • Conducts periodic site inspections and review of security process to ensure compliance.
Basic Qualifications:

Secret clearance eligibility. Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact well with a diverse employee population. Maintains confidentiality and works within the highest level of integrity, ethics and safety.


Education and/or Experience: Associate’s Degree is required, preferably in a security related field. One (1) to three (3) years of experience as an FSO or ISSM and COMSEC Trained/Certified. Must have a Secret Clearance and have working knowledge of the NISPOM.

Pay Range (USD): $62,188.89 - $93,283.34 Additional Compensation: Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Gain Sharing Program.
