Job Details:
$1500 Sign on Bonus for Qualified External Candidates -$750 payable at 3 months and $750 payable at 6 months, $1000 Referral Bonus - $500 payable at 3 months and $500 payable at 6 months. $2.00 or $3.00 shift pay. Pay Range: $16.20 - $23.95.

Description:
This position is responsible for the production operation and will unload and wash all trailers, tankers and reefers, monitor cookers and soap and wash all areas of the plant. Load trucks, maintain the control room and complete accurate paperwork. Check lubrication on machinery, change oil and belts on gear boxes, perform equipment PM and auger inspections. Will assist maintenance when needed while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks:
These positions require standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 60 pounds, shoveling, climbing stairs and ladders up to 30 feet, bending, stretching, reaching, working in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors. Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high pressure water hose with 30 pounds of pressure or more. Will be required to obtain the certification and operate a forklift or skid-steer loader. Must be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance skills such has mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting, welding/fabrication, wiring, motor controls, and conveyor maintenance. Must have basic computer skills. Must have the ability to read and understand policies, procedures and regulations. Must have the ability to document information. Must have the ability to communicate with others written and verbally. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview.
Requirements:
Must be willing to work A, B, C or D shift. Applicants must be 18 years of age. Applicants who have worked for Tyson three times will not be considered. Minimum 6 month waiting period from previous Tyson employment. All job offers are based on the conditions that the candidate can provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and pass an urinalysis screening which is part of the post-offer health assessment.
