Expo/Food Runner Jobs

The Food Runner helps the servers to serve food and drinks following established guidelines, procedures, and policies for food and beverage safety controls as prescribed by company standards. He or she interacts with guests and staff in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner and acts as the link between the kitchen and the servers.
The ideal candidate for this position is 16 years of age or older and previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred. He or she can work a flexible schedule, good time management skills, and professional dress, and behavior are all required for this position.
Responsibilities include:

• Helps bus and set tables and performs side-work as needed
• Performs light food preparation duties including bread, salad, appetizers, and dessert
• Notifies servers for food pick up or delivers food as required
• Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies
• Prepares garnishes for food items, trays for servers, and left over food for take out
• Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
• Facilitates communication between the kitchen and the service staff
• Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
• Organizes food per orders to ensure quality and accuracy and ensures food is prepared and served in a timely manner
