Experienced Ophthalmic Technician
No Weekends, No Evenings
Multiple locations in the West Valley
(Buckeye, Goodyear, Glendale, AZ )

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
At least one year of ophthalmology/optometric technician experience.
Certification preferred but not required.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to develop strong relationships and communicate with warmth and caring.
Self-directed, motivated, and resilient.
Strong attention to detail.
Team-orientation and desire to help and support others.
Problem-solving skills.
Efficient and accurate at interviewing patients and documenting histories.
Able to ensure charts are updated and accurate.
Demonstrated working knowledge of eye anatomy, disease, and ocular medications.
Experienced with HVF, Lensometry, Keratometry, Tonometry, Visual Fields, Amslers, Muscle Fields, Pupil Exams, and Refracting.
Proficient with EMR computer programs.
Understanding of CPT and ICD-10 codes for ophthalmic billing.
Able to travel within the region.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing exceptional customer service and communication to patients and providers.
Gathering medical records and patient information.
Performing diagnostic testing.
Providing patients with eye care information.
Assisting ophthalmologists as needed.
For certified (COA/COT/COS) candidates, the starting compensation is $24/hour, dependent upon skills and experience.
