Hatfield and Associates are looking for an educated and personable individual to join our Team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a background in transportation sales and excellent communication skills. Develop a growth strategy to include growth within existing customers and new prospects. Understand Transportation Management Systems. Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with customers and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to expand an existing business or new business to sell products.
Monitor customer trends and operating performance, identify opportunities, develop strategy, and proactively communicate with stakeholders’ sales targets to include revenue growth, operating performance, and key activity metrics. Ensure all key customer information is captured in the database or TMS and build customer contacts, the current level of business, and account strategy.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of related work experience 2 years in B2B (Business to Business) sales or equivalent in the transportation field. Competitive nature with a strong desire to win. Experience with Microsoft Office. Travel 10-15% with some flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. Having a logistic background and understanding of Supply Chain Management.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and maintain relationships with key leaders in Audit, Sales, Management Services, and other functional departments.
· Create action plans where activities or results fall short of expectations.
· Make cold calls
· Lead, and manage, to reach revenue, yield, and profit targets.
· Create, develop, and set up plans to achieve goals.
· Set specific Revenue and Yield targets that will vary by year.
· Also responsible for developing strategic sales plans based on company goals.
· Responsible for Customer Satisfaction and Retention including executing progressive account reviews utilizing a scorecard developed in BI.
· Participate in the development of business plan forecasts, budgets, and account deliverables
· Maintain a pipeline of new opportunities
· Monitor team results and provide monthly reporting.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $59,350.46 - $68,540.54 per year
