Job Description
Position: Executive Housekeeper
Schedule: Thursday – Monday 9am – 6pm
Location: North Salem, NY & Nantucket, MA (Summer)
Salary: $45/hour plus benefits

Private family in North Salem, NY is looking to hire an experienced Executive Housekeeper to work in a fully-staffed home (Thursday - Monday, 40-45 hours a week). Candidates must be available to travel with the family and other staff to Nantucket for the summer (Memorial Day - Labor Day). Accommodations include a dedicated staff floor in the main residence.

The home is 30,000 square feet and requires the upmost attention to detail. Prior experience working in a large, staffed home is highly desired. Communication is also a key component when working with the family. The main responsibilities will be full detailed housekeeping, running errands, family laundry and assisting the Chef/kitchen when a party or guests are in residence to ensure guests are kept happy and the food is being served timely. No cooking responsibilities are required.

Responsibilities:
  • Travel: Travel to Nantucket for the summer (Memorial Day – Labor Day)
  • Errands: 2-3 times per week, including grocery shopping; Car available to use during working hours
  • Full charge housekeeping
  • Laundry & ironing for the family
  • Serving: Help Chef with meal service and make sure guests are tended to


Requirements:
  • Candidates need to be trustworthy, great communicators and respectful
  • Minimum of two references
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Must pass stringent background check and drug test upon offer of hire
