Executive Assistant Overview
The Executive Assistant will work as an integral member of the Office of the President. This position is accountable for providing comprehensive administrative support to the President and Chief Operating Officer, as well as his Chief of Staff.
Essential Functions
The Executive Assistant will ensure all aspects of the President’s schedule, travel, administrative duties, and communications run smoothly, efficiently, and professionally. Qualified candidates will have:

  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrates honesty, trust, leadership, business ethics and compliance with principled actions
  • Experience on cross-functional work teams and strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in an international organization is a plus
  • Proficiency in Concur for business travel arrangements and expense report management
  • Affinity to work in a highly energetic, flexible, and adaptable to change
  • Experience handling requests for legal agreements and purchase orders
  • Takes proactive measures to address challenging issues
  • Maintains good working relationships with all stakeholders both inside and outside the organization
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines
  • Strong business acumen, discretion, and judgment
  • Collaborates positively with other Chief of Staffs and Executive Assistants to ensure EC members availability, focus, and attention are prioritized for optimal execution
  • Experience with event and travel planning (domestic and international)
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Comfortable and effective in collaborating and communicating remotely
  • Self-starter with the ability to be resourceful to leverage network, proactively seek information and problem solve
  • Advanced self-awareness and interest in continually elevating the level of autonomy and proactivity, within role
  • Experience working in an international organization is preferred
  • Minimum of ten years professional experience in a senior-level administrative or business support role responsible for one or more senior executives in a fast-paced environment, preferably with experience in executive level support
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams and Zoom to be able to carry out support duties in either an in-person or remote environment
  • Possesses digital dexterity to thrive in a hybrid work environment
Required/Preferred Education
  • Minimum of 10 years professional experience in a senior level administrative role in support of one or more senior executives in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a biotech or pharmaceuticals company
  • BA/BS with 5 or more years of relevant experience in a multi-national, fast-paced business setting and direct pharma/healthcare experience a plus

  • Routinely sitting for extended periods of time

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $92,000-$120,750. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
