  • Deliver Clean Linen to Patient
  • Assisting patient with contacting family member for transportation from hospital
  • Assisting and ensuring patient has belongings packed
  • Ask patient if they need a Physician note before discharge (for work or school)
  • Assists other associates, as necessary.
  • Completes patient rounds, service recoveries, and follow ups
  • Remove Biohazard
  • Restock Supplies on Unit
  • Fill Ice Bags
  • Remove Soiled Linen
  • General Description: Under general supervision of a registered nurse and CTA of assigned unit provides patient rounding and non-clinical support to enhance the Patient ExperienceEssential Responsibilities:
  • Remove Trash
  • Knowledge and efficient use of cleaning techniques, solutions, equipment, and tools.
  • General Responsibilities:
  • Empty Bedside Commodes
  • Visits all patients on unit daily to perform below duties depending on need/request:
    • Remove Soiled Linen
    • Deliver Clean Linen to Patient
    • Remove Food Trays
    • Deliver Food Trays
    • Restock Supplies on Unit
    • Fill Ice Bags
    • Empty Bedside Commodes
    • Remove Trash
    • Remove Biohazard
    • Change Bed Sheets (if mobile or with assistance)
  • Ensuring patient has ordered and eaten breakfast before afternoon discharging
  • Completes QAs on empty patient rooms to ensure Picture-Perfect standard is met
  • Responds rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special needs, spills, etc.
  • Remove Food Trays
  • Explain Patient Discharge Booklet
  • Completes 10-step cleaning process as needed on rooms to assist EVS Cleaners
  • Requests floor projects to be scheduled on unit for areas in need of detail attention
  • Minimum Qualifications;Education: None required.Experience: Two (2) or more years of housekeeping or service worker experience preferred. Six (6) months experience in a healthcare setting preferred.License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: None.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Accepts and absorbs Department and Hospital education program.
  • Ask if patient would like to bathe before leaving (communicate with unit Tech)
  • Interacts hospitably and supportively with staff, patients, visitors, and work colleagues.
  • Strong customer service skills and can communicate effectively
  • Follow written and oral instructions
  • Command of English strongly preferred.
  • Visits all Pending and Confirmed Discharging patients on unit between 7:30-10am to assist in discharge/transfer process by:
    • Assisting patient with contacting family member for transportation from hospital
    • Ensuring patient has ordered and eaten breakfast before afternoon discharging
    • Assisting and ensuring patient has belongings packed
    • Ask if patient would like to bathe before leaving (communicate with unit Tech)
    • Explain Patient Discharge Booklet
    • Notify patient of NRC survey they will receive after discharge
    • Ask patient if they need a Physician note before discharge (for work or school)
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Notify patient of NRC survey they will receive after discharge
  • Enters Maintenance work orders as needed through online portal
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Will clean “Clean Next” and “Stat” rooms on assigned floor
  • Deliver Food Trays
  • Change Bed Sheets (if mobile or with assistance)
