Job Description

Tianyu Arts & Culture Inc. is the manufacturer and event organizer of international touring lantern light events. We are a team of creative and hardworking individuals who endeavor to bring the best products and experience to our clients and festival visitors. Since 2014, we have seen more than 7 million visitors in our festivals across the U.S., and the number is still quickly growing as the event industry is recovering. We are now seeking new team members for our event operation functions. Please get in touch if you are a good fit!

The Event Manager plays an important role in the overall execution of our traveling light shows. Your job is to oversee projects from beginning to end, including building timeline, budget planning, vendor/supplier procurement and onsite execution, with an emphasis on the last two tasks. You can expect to see many different parts of the U.S. as you travel with our shows or to our warehouses. You will report to the Event Production Manager.


:

- Oversee and follow up with every stage of event execution, including but not limited to setting up event timeline, event budget planning, event staffing, and onsite execution

- Serve as manager for events including vendor sourcing, selection, negotiation, event activities/logistics, action item tracking, pre-event, post-event, and on-site activities. This includes actively seeking new vendors and looking for third-party partners to accomplish project goals, with an emphasis on heavy external commination and networking.

- Oversee the selection and training of qualified event staff, assigning clear roles and responsibilities, providing effective supervision, and managing performance to ensure efficient operations.

- Assist with ticketing, including ticketing platform setup, daily ticket reports and overall event ticketing reports.

- Follow up with billing, invoicing and work with the accounting department to keep track of accounts payable/receivables as they relate to assigned events.

- Handle guests complain and inquires and troubleshoot other issues during the event.

- Communicate with and assist the marketing team with any sponsorship onsite execution, and other event promotions

- Other tasks assigned by Event Production Manager.

Requirements:

- English speaker. Knowledge of Chinese will be a big plus but not necessary.

- 1-3 years’ experience in event/exhibit production, or project management will be strongly preferred.

- Basic knowledge of project management and map drawing software, and a frequent user of digital meeting platforms (zoom, google meets etc.)

- Must be able to travel frequently (all domestic travels) for an extended period (range from 1 – 7 weeks) and have good driving records.

- Self-motivated with strong organizational, management and time management skills with the ability to effectively set priorities.

- Open to work with a team from a different culture and language background.

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Starting Salary: $60,000/year + project-based bonus (full-time position)

$20,000 - $25,000/project (part-time position)
