Job Description


The starting pay range for this position begins at $18.25/hour and is based on the level of qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements. Full Time: a position averaging 35+ hours per week.


The Event Logistics Crew Leader is responsible for the setup/strike of temporary structure for the Biltmore Company. The Crew Leader will serve as primary on site "lead" and will supervise the work of staff and vendors. They will provide OJT training for all new hires, support the front line by answering questions and provide guidance with all Counterpoint functions. The Lead Associate will communicate with supervisors and the location manager on employee issues and provide general support and assistance to the department, leadership and the company. Other duties include being responsible for inventory, cleaning and repairing equipment, and organizing the warehouse/top room, as well as utilizing the rental software to plan/schedule upcoming request. In addition, the crew leader will provide general assistance and support for leadership, the department, and the company as needed.


Requirements:


  • At least two (2) years of related experience. Ideal candidates will have relevant event experience.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and project/time management skills; prioritizes work and can adapt as needed. Keen attention to detail with focus on quality and service.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing world class internal/external guest service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; must be able to convey information clearly, concisely, and effectively.
  • Proactive, takes initiative, and exercises good judgment; creatively problem solves and handles a variety of situations in a professional manner.
  • Can operate effectively in an intense and dynamic guest service environment.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Basic math skills a must.
  • High school diploma (or GED). Additional training preferred.


Essential Job Duties:


  • Works closely with front-line staff to develop work processes and standard operating procedures for each area of Event Operations.
  • Maintain event inventory control (both delivered and returned).
  • Keeping safety top priority and maintaining a clean driving record.
  • Responsible for documenting and teaching work processes and SOP's, escalating any issues to Supervisors and recommending implementation of process improvement ideas.
  • Set up and assembling equipment as needed such as dance floors, stages, chairs, etc.
  • Plan upcoming event needs with EL Manager/Supervisor and communicate with staff.
  • Must be able to meet all deadlines.
  • Responsible for ensuring inventory is in good condition and available for rental.


Physical Requirements:


  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 19 years old.
  • Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their proper applications.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, and/or scaffolding.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds on a regular basis with assistance.
  • Forklift certification may be required.
  • Will work indoors and outside in all types of weather with fluctuations in temperature and conditions; may be exposed to dirt, dust, pollen, fumes, smoke, chemicals, and/or other particulates.
