Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • This position will require a great deal of face-to-face interaction with project stakeholders during the execution of your function.
  • This position will require you to execute work associated with the developing electric transportation project solutions such as financial modeling, product selection, charging station design and site layout, load demand analysis, grid planning and load studies, and supporting large scale initiatives around charging station infrastructure deployment.
  • Perform and provide independent reviews of work performed by others, including scopes of work, proposals, procurement specifications, and contract documents.
  • You will be expected and encouraged to participate in industry events and understand the details of technology evolution.
  • Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner that meet client requirements.

Qualifications:

Essential skills and experience:

  • Experience with grid planning and load studies
  • Experience in development of electric charging station projects.
  • This position requires a BS preferably from an ABET-accredited engineering program or equivalent years of experience.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Engineering experience with electric charging station projects or planning studies.
  • 10 or more years of experience in the power, transportation, or similar industry.
  • Experience writing technical reports and proposals.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others.
  • Project planning and leadership skills.

Valued but not required skills and experience:

  • PE License.
  • Familiarity with NREL, CEC, and other EV planning tools is a plus.
  • Experience with fleet planning is a plus.
  • Experience in project finance or financial modeling of charging station projects is a plus.
