PennEngineering is seeking a motivated, excited, individual to be a part of the Global Market Manager Team. As the Global Market Manager at PennEngineering, you’ll collaborate with teams that do truly amazing things. Market Managers have a passion for connecting customers with Penn capabilities, products, and resources that exceed their expectations.


The Global Market Manager, EV Charging Infrastructure & BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) / EV 2&3 Wheeler is responsible for the long-term success of a broad Penn product offering into two distinct markets: 1. EV Charging Infrastructure / BESS and 2. EV 2&3 Wheeler. Working closely with senior leadership and business management, Market Management drives alignment across the enterprise and customers, ensuring that sales, marketing, product, and operational strategies are coordinated globally to drive profitable market growth.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Drive Strategic Alignment:

  • Work collaboratively with the executive and regional leadership teams (Functional Directors and VP’s, Business Presidents / Managing Directors, Sales and Business Development Management, and Senior Plant, Engineering, Operations Management and New Product Development) to drive an aligned long-term market and customer strategy, ensuring that functional, regional, and operational goals are aligned to optimize PennEngineering’s resource deployment and long-term growth and profitability.
  • Build tactical plans to maximize all the PennEngineering brands relevant to each market.
  • Develop comprehensive battle plans by region for charging infrastructure / BESS & EV 2&3 Wheeler, including prioritized target customer lists, account entry tactics, product value proposition using a “sell what we have now” approach until we have deep knowledge of the market and can build an informed product roadmap.
  • Be the source matter expert relative to EV Charging / BESS standardization and regulation by region AND current and future trends in EV 2&3 wheeler.

Market strategy:

  • Champions the “needs” and is the Voice of Customer for assigned markets. Contribute to specifications necessary to drive new product development.
  • Responsible for development of the long-term market strategy of the assigned markets. Develops and maintains detailed road maps for all assigned activities. Combines direct customer feedback with input from PennEngineering’s business units to identify and advocate for new products to serve global customer needs and maintain competitive leadership.
  • EV charging / BESS / EV 2&3 Wheeler ‘source matter expert’. Contributes expertise to marketing campaigns and specifications, business planning, product launch plans, project requests etc. Develops pertinent content for technical presentations, webinars, and virtual interactions for assigned market.
  • Develops and manages, with the regions, pricing alignment and strategy to maximize share and profitability including customization specific to the needs of each region.
  • Develop a collaborative strategy to include working with and through technical distribution in all regions as appropriate.

Competitive intelligence:

  • Stimulates and initiates market sensitivity and awareness to competitor intelligence activities and benchmarking.

Acquisition:

  • Identifies and proposes potential acquisition targets.

Operational alignment:

  • Ensures that operational strategies align with the market strategy and visa versa.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • International business and travel experience a plus;Ability to travel up to 40%
  • Solid leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar technical field preferred, or equivalent tangible experience.
  • CRM proficient. Ability to perform complex business analysis.
  • Ability to gain alignment from stakeholders and lead across functional and geographic boundaries. Strong communication skills and influencing capabilities.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in product marketing, sales, customer service or engineering.
