Job Description
Job Purpose:


An Escrow Processor provides clerical and administrative support to the branch office and escrow team while assisting with the processing of escrow transactions.


Essential Functions:


  • Receive purchase contracts/escrow instructions and assist in the preparation of the transaction for closing by receipting earnest money funds, entering data, and ordering title reports.
  • Provide first-line basic level product technical support utilizing resources provided and resolve customer issues.
  • Assist in preparing transactions for closing of escrow by reviewing title reports for accuracy, clearing title report requirements, and providing documentation for the completion of the transaction and loan processing.
  • Professionally gathering client and financial information, handling funds, entering data, and responding to information requests.
  • Greet all office visitors and provide a warm and welcoming experience; maintain the appearance of the reception area and office.
  • Prepare requested reports by management
  • Coordinate various office events, client visits, and assist the Branch Manager with calendar management.
  • Answer phone calls utilizing a multi-line telephone system and route calls to appropriate departments or personnel.
  • Process email correspondence, sort/distribute physical mail, and process invoices.
  • Provide updates and answer inquiries from sellers, buyers, agents, and lenders.


Organizational Relationships:


Has frequent contact and communicates continuously with visitors, customers, employees, and vendors.


Qualifications


  • 2+ years of Customer Service experience is required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to type at a net rate of at least 35 wpm using a computer keyboard.
  • 2+ years of experience in an Administrative Support role
  • 1+ years of Escrow Assistant experience or 3+ years of experience in a related real estate or title field is highly desired.
  • General computer literacy skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Basic knowledge of escrow practices and terminology is highly desired.

  • Works well on a team and collaborates with others but also be able to work independently
  • Ability to interact with employees, vendors, and candidates in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to effectively multitask and problem-solve/research information independently and with others.
  • Strong organization skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to function in a fast-paced environment


Physical Demands & Work Environment:


The Escrow Processor must be able to bend, stoop, stand, and sit for various lengths of time. They must be able to lift and carry items up to 20 lbs.


This is primarily a sedentary office classification and employees work in an office with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances.
