Job Description

ERP Implementation Consultant (EIC)

Pay Range: $64,000.00 to $103,000.00

This is a 12 month role.

The person in this contractor role is a key stakeholder in the success of our AFTEC/PROIII to Epicor ERP system migration. They act as a liaison between the ERP project team, IT project team and the end-users, ensuring that the current ERP system processes are transformed to support the new ERP system processes and capabilities.

Key responsibilities of an EIC in our Epicor ERP migration project:

  • Process Mapping and Analysis: The EIC is responsible for documenting the current functional-execution level processes on the existing ERP system (AFTEC) and identifying the process changes required to support the new ERP system (Epicor) deployment including our company specific Epicor customizations. They work closely with the ERP project team to analyze and optimize these processes to maximize the benefits of the new system functionality.
  • Process Change Documentation: The EIC works with the end-users to gather existing ERP system-based functional-execution level current processes and analyzes and documents the changes required to those current processes to convert to and utilize the new ERP system capabilities and requirements.
  • Training: The EIC plays a critical role in ensuring that end-users are trained on the new system. They work with the ERP project team to develop training materials, coordinate and deliver training sessions, and provide ongoing support to end-users.
  • Testing: The EIC works with the ERP project team and representative users to develop test plans, scenarios, and scripts, and coordinates user acceptance testing.

In addition to these responsibilities, the EIC also acts as an advocate for the end-users, ensuring that their needs and concerns are addressed throughout the migration process.

Areas of focus for the EIC are functional-execution level processes in our Production, Engineering, and Quality departments. Other departments may also require guidance and assistance in the migration efforts (Materials, Purchasing, Finance).

The role of an ERP Implementation Consultant is critical to the success of our ERP migration and implementation project. They will serve as a bridge between the ERP project team, IT project team, and the end-users, ensuring that the system meets their needs and functions as expected. By working closely with the ERP project team, IT project team, and end-users, the EIC can help ensure a successful migration and ongoing success of our Epicor ERP system platform.
